Commission Terms

Terms of Service

Please read carefully before commissioning. By submitting a commission request you agree to all terms below.

3D Character & Asset Commissions
Last updated: June 2026
01

Payment

  • Payment is split 50% upfront before work begins, and 50% upon delivery of the final files.
  • Joining the waitlist is free — you are only asked to pay once you have been accepted and your slot is confirmed.
  • The upfront payment confirms the start of active work on your commission. It is non-refundable once work has begun (see Cancellation & refunds).
  • Final files are only delivered after the remaining 50% is received.
  • Payment is processed via Payoneer. An invoice will be sent when your slot is ready.
  • All prices are quoted in USD. Currency conversion fees (if any) are the client's responsibility.
  • Prices vary based on complexity. A final quote is confirmed before any payment is requested.
Work will not begin until the upfront payment is confirmed. Please don't ask me to start before payment is received.
02

All prices are in USD. Final quotes are confirmed before any payment is requested and may vary based on complexity.

Commission type Starting from

03

Waiting list

  • I work on one model at a time and maintain a waiting list for upcoming commissions.
  • Joining the waiting list is free — no payment needed until your slot is confirmed and work is about to begin.
  • Queue priority works as follows, in order:
    1. Fully paid clients — sorted by earliest date they completed their first payment.
    2. Partially paid clients — sorted by earliest date of partial payment.
    3. Unpaid waitlist — sorted by earliest sign-up date.
  • This system ensures clients who have already paid are served as quickly as possible, while still giving unpaid waitlist members a fair spot.
  • I reserve the right to select which model to work on next and to remove any client from the waiting list at my discretion. Any payments already received will be fully refunded in such cases.
Making your first payment sooner moves you up the queue. You don't have to wait until your slot is next to pay — paying early locks in your priority.
04

Commission process

  • Fill out the commission form completely and honestly. The more detail you provide, the better.
  • I will review your request and get back to you with a quote and estimated timeline within a few days.
  • I reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason without explanation.
  • You will only enter the waitlist after your request has been reviewed and accepted. Submitting the form does not guarantee a spot.
  • Payment is only requested once you have been accepted into the waitlist — there is nothing to pay at the form stage.
  • Once your slot is active and payment is received, I will send WIP (work-in-progress) updates at key stages for your feedback.
  • Please respond to WIP check-ins within 7 days. Extended silence may result in the commission being paused or your slot being moved back.
05

Reference sheets

  • I only accept drawn character reference sheets. Photo references or written descriptions alone are not sufficient.
  • If available, please also provide the PSD source file — this gives me access to clean layers and colour swatches which significantly speeds up the process.
  • If you are providing only a PSD, you must also include a rendered back view image so I can see how the design looks from behind.

What a good ref sheet includes

Required views

  • Front view (full body, neutral pose)
  • Back view (full body)
  • Side view (left or right)
  • + Face close-up / expressions

Helpful additions

  • + Colour palette / swatches
  • + Detail callouts (markings, textures)
  • + Notes on materials / shading style
  • + Clothing / accessory close-ups

Example image coming soon. The above describes a standard 3D turnaround reference sheet used in character modelling.

06

Upgrades & add-ons

  • I accept upgrade requests (outfits, accessories, expressions, poses, animations, new tracking, etc.) only for models I have previously made.
  • Upgrades for models made by other artists or yourself are not accepted.
  • Upgrade requests go through the same commission form and waiting list process as new commissions.
  • Pricing for upgrades depends on complexity and will be quoted individually.
07

Revisions

  • Each commission includes 2 free revision rounds — one at the mid-progress WIP stage and one near the final stage.
  • A revision is a reasonable adjustment to existing work: changing colors, tweaking proportions, adjusting minor details.
  • Additional revision rounds beyond the 2 included are available at an extra fee, agreed upon before work continues.
Changing the concept, character, or core design after work has begun is not a revision — it is a new commission and will be quoted as such.
To avoid revision costs, please provide complete and clear references upfront. Vague briefs are more likely to need corrections.
08

Timeline & delivery

  • Estimated turnaround is provided with your quote and depends on complexity and my current queue.
  • Active commissions have a maximum completion time of 3 months from when work begins. If I am unable to deliver within this period, you will receive a full refund.
  • Deadlines requested in the commission form will be taken into account but are not always guaranteed — please discuss urgency upfront.
  • Rush commissions (tight deadlines) may incur an additional fee.
  • I will communicate any delays as soon as possible. Life happens — I ask for the same understanding in return.
  • Final files are delivered via a download link once full payment is received.
09

Cancellation & refunds

  • Before work begins: full refund of the upfront payment.
  • After work begins: the upfront payment (50%) is non-refundable as it covers work already completed.
  • After delivery: no refunds once the final files have been sent and the commission is approved.
  • If I need to cancel for any reason on my end, you will receive a full refund of any payments made.
Chargebacks or disputes filed without first contacting me will result in a permanent ban from future commissions.

Usage rights

Allowed

  • Personal use
  • Streaming & videos (with credit)
  • 3D printed figures for personal use or sale
  • Animations and renders
  • VTubing / virtual avatars
  • Games (personal / non-commercial)

Not allowed

  • Reselling the model or raw assets
  • Claiming you made the model
  • Commercial games without a commercial license
  • Commercial animations without a commercial license
  • Redistributing the files publicly
  • Training AI models
Need full commercial rights (e.g. commercial games, commercial animations, or asset packs sold for profit)? Commercial licensing is available at a +20% surcharge on the final commission price. Mention this upfront when filling out the form so it is included in your quote.
11

Portfolio rights

  • I reserve the right to showcase renders and videos of the finished model in my portfolio, social media, and on Sketchfab (viewer only — no file download).
  • I will never distribute your actual 3D files or claim ownership of your character design.
  • If you need the commission kept private, please mention this in the form. A confidentiality fee may apply.
  • I will credit you / link to your pages when posting, unless you prefer otherwise.
12

File formats

Default delivery formats:

3D files

.fbx .gltf / .glb .blend

2D & image files

.png .jpeg .targa .kra .psd

Need a different format? Request it in the commission form and I'll let you know if it's possible. Additional formats can range from free up to a 5% increase in the final price depending on the complexity of the export.

13

Content I won't make

  • NSFW or sexually explicit content (this may change in the future — check back for updates)
  • Content that promotes hate, discrimination, or real-world harm
  • Direct copies or traced reproductions of another artist's work
  • Content intended to harass or defame a real person
If a commission is found to violate these terms after work has started, it will be cancelled and the upfront payment will not be refunded.
14

Communication

  • Please be respectful. I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a commission if a client is rude or abusive.
  • All communication about the commission should go through the contact method agreed on at the start (usually email or Discord).
  • Changes to the brief mid-commission must be communicated early — last-minute changes after final stages may not be accommodated.
  • I am a solo artist, not a studio. Please allow reasonable response times, especially on weekends.
The more detail, references, and context you give me upfront, the smoother and faster the whole process goes for both of us.
15

Changes to these terms

  • These terms are not permanent and will evolve as I gain more experience and take on different types of work.
  • Any changes will be announced publicly in advance.
  • Updated terms will only take effect at least 1 month after the announcement.
  • Changes only apply to commissions accepted after the updated terms come into effect.
  • Each commission is governed by the terms that were in place at the time it was accepted. Any changes made during an ongoing commission do not apply to it.
If something here doesn't cover your situation or you have questions before commissioning, feel free to reach out — I'm happy to clarify.
